We began with simply purchasing 500 wristbands for our local teens. Within a week we had a card with passing instructions and a donation for 500 more. Since Februarty 2012 we have passed out locally and sent over 31,000 wristbands all over the country, to colleges, hospitals and homes! The bands are making a big difference in people's lives. Which is not something we anticipated, but it's awesome!

Our goal is to get that message to as many young people as possible. We provide events and activities for the youth in our area that are substance free and focused on healthy living. But our main focus in our You Can NOT Be Replaced Assembliy. Schools are the place where we find most students. New this year we have college chapters with concert fundraisers for our program.

We are always amazed when the kids approach us after an assembly in tears thanking us for helping them see that they have value.

We cant do this alone, we need your help.

School Presentations

Films and creative messaging for young people

Wristbands and cards for schools; guidance counselors, teachers, clubs, hospitals, mental health providers and families with kids in crisis

In the aftermath of Super Storm Sandy we collected and gave out over $100,000 to 85 families, 95% in our own town, the rest very near by. The funds came from concerned people and 2 grants from Robin Hood Foundation's 12-12-12 concert. Now that the funds have been distributed, we are focused back to our original mission. We are now considered a Double Trauma area after the losses we had and the impact of the storm.

You Can NOT Be Replaced serves on the Prevention Coalition of Monmouth County. With our local Alliances and community groups we are now actively planning Heroin education for our community.
